We Want Your Input!

We want to know what you think about the new website. In order for it to be as good as it can be, we need you to tell us what you like about it, as well as what you would like to see added to it.  Think of it as a wish list, and, while we cannot do everything, we want to see what the community needs are. So please let us know what you would like to see.

Mission Statement

The mission of Blind Ambitions Groups is to educate the blind and visually impaired, and their families, about available resources, and to encourage each individual to move to the next step, whatever it may be.

 Purpose

Through support, we teach blind and visually impaired individuals to advocate for themselves in getting what they need to facilitate a better quality of life.

The goals of Blind Ambitions Groups include:

Touching the Top

"Through teamwork, I became the first blind climber to reach the top of the world. Even more special is that 19 of my teammates stood on top with me - a world record - the most from one team to reach the summit of Mount Everest in a single day. When you work with the Blind Ambitions Groups team, YOU also can reach the top of whatever you commit yourself to."

~ Erik Weihenmayer ~

Erik was born in 1968 with Retinoschisis and was totally blind at age 13.  On May 25, 2001, he became the first blind person to reach the peak of Mt. Everest.  An avid adventurer, he is also an author and motivational speaker.  http://www.touchthetop.com/

We are proud to be associated with Bryan Dodge...

Brian Dodge

...unique author, professional development specialist, talk-show host, dedicated family man and all-around fun guy! Bryan’s first book, co-authored with David Cottrell, “Becoming the Obvious Choice,” has sold more than 125,000 copies. And his second book, co-authored with Matthew Rudy, “The Good Life Rules, 8 Keys to Being Your Best at Work and Play,” is newly released. Bryan is author of several professional development programs on CD and/or DVD: “Building a Better You,” “How to Build a Purpose-Guided Life,” ”How to Build a Complete Sales Person” and “How to Build a Better You.” He hosts the “Build a Better You” radio show that airs live on Saturday afternoons (5-6pm Central Time) on Dallas/Fort Worth’s premier station, WBAP 820AM. For more information, visit his website at www.BryanDodge.com.

Bryan has dedicated his support to one, and only one, nonprofit organization. That organization is Blind Ambitions Groups, and for that, we say, “Thank you, Bryan!” In July 2008, Bryan and BAG co-hosted the “First Bryan Dodge Blind Ambitions Groups Extravaganza.” This one-day event brought together business people from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for Bryan’s “Build a Better You” presentation. This has now become an annual event. You’ll want to attend the “Second Bryan Dodge Blind Ambitions Groups Extravaganza” in 2009 (date and location to be announced). As in 2008, all proceeds will benefit Blind Ambitions Groups.
